Combine rings ?? - 11/22/2008
From a tech standpoint, is it possible for a manager
to acquire 2 small rings, and combine them ?
IE: Xring and Yring and
create XandY ring ??? thus eliminating
two small sites with no traffic??

Yes that is both possible and reasonable. They should be very redundant. If they contain a number of very old sites with HTML code that can't be changed easily then it is more of a problem (the beauty of the ssnb code comes through again :)). Rules of thumb:
1. Check search results for both (google, yahoo). generally will want to merge the lower into the higher, all things being equal.
2. If one has a lot of HTML coded sites that should probably be the surviving ring. If both do you're sort of stuck with two.
3. If they have a lot of common sites but a number of non-common look for an opportunity to create subrings on sub-topics once you combine them.

If after all this you think it's worth pursuing please contact your 2.0 rep.

OK. But what are the procidures to merge those two rings ? Site by site or is there any way to do it automaticaly in just a few steps ?
Can you explain what those steps are ?

It's an automatic procedure, but can only be done by support staff.
