BLUSHING WITH EMBARRASMENT - 12/21/2007
Hi:

I gave up my livingwithcockatiels.com website several months ago.

Last night I applied for the Cherished Wings ring membership using my new domain: livingwithpetbirds.com.

Today I received a notice that EVERY LINK hooked to porno sites. It took me awhile but I figured out the problem and corrected some html coding. Everything works fine now.

HAS ANYONE had somthing like this happen with old domains? What do those people do--buy up all the old domains?

Geez. I am still beet red just because it upset me so much to have this happen. I have no clue about who might have a link on their websiste to that old domain and will think I joined the porno producers.

ANY IDEAS on limiting the damage to my reputation?

It is common for porn sites to buy expired domain names. I haven't seen anything like this, though. As long as you control the content on your site, it shouldn't happen. Did you figure out what caused it?
