Failing/Suspended/Passing sites - 04/19/2007
Hi all,

One of the things that happens during the merge process is that sites merged into the target ring get assigned a new site id #. The system assumes these are something like a new submission and therefore does not test them for pass/fail status automatically.

Occasionally, depending on server process times, the auto-management will get to these sites before the checker does. These sites may be suspended as unknown checker status temporarily, then reactivated.

There are 2 ways for the affected member to handle this:
1. Run a test on each suspended site. It will most likely pass and be auto-activated.
2. Wait for the system to do it on the next cycle.

The technicians are looking into a way to refine the merge process so that this does not happen as often. We ask for your patience and understanding.

A reminder: only those system run rings that are effectively identical are merged together. So, if you have a site membership on a topic that has/had many rings on that same topic, you are more likely to be affected.

Thank you again for your patience!
