Growing-shrinking pains - 03/03/2007
Folks, WebRing is currently trying to do something about the mess of webrings they have, many of which were abandoned when they announced their new policies. There is a lot of duplication in subject matter. They are trying to combine rings that are on similar topics. They don't have a program to do this as I understand. So there are all kinds of little problems going on. This is a worthwhile thing to do in my opinion, so I am being patient with them. Among other things, when I manage my webrings, I check the other webrings to which an applicant site belongs. There's nothing more disheartening to me than to see a list of a gazillion rings, many of which are duplicative. So I am glad this is being taken care of.
