Now, this isn't right... another nav bar problem - 09/22/2006
My ring has 20 sites in it, and today, I tried to navigate the ring. I came to one of my sites (id 4 of the 2012 ring) with no nav bar. Instead, it had a bar that said "Welcome stargate0) which is my id, and had the WebRing logo on the far left. To the right was a menu bar with choices of Webring Home, Account Settings, Help, Support, My rings, and Sign Out. I was signed into WebRing at the time.

I reloaded this page several times, and the erroneous bar described above showed up intermittently, but the correct nav bar never showed.

There was a text line which read "Visit a complete list of WebRing memberships here" (Here was a link). I clicked on 'Here", and my ring was not listed as a ring the site belonged to.

I clicked on "My Rings" from the member site, and it took me into MY webring pages. I have to assume that anyone could have done so, and therefore my account was wide open. This is a collosal security breach.

I then went back into "manage members" and ran the nav code checker for that site, and it PASSED repeatedly, although there is no navbar for my ring.

I have the page source saved if it is helpful to anyone.
