Directory Placements Colour Coding
Just taken another look and it appears there is a colour coding in the directory as well.
Green = Ring is wholly unique
Black = Ring is partially unique
Red = Not in slightest bit unique. Not worth a visit.
This is looking better the more I look at it.
CAREFUL. UNIKNESS IS NOT THE ONLY CRITERIA TO UNDERSTAND IF THE RING WORTH OR NOT A VISIT.
RINGS WITH ONLY ONE SITE ARE RATING 100. IS THIS A GOOD RING THAT WORTH A VISIT ???
manuel: "RINGS WITH ONLY ONE SITE ARE RATING 100. IS THIS A GOOD RING THAT WORTH A VISIT"
Looking over the new structure, Rings with 4 (maybe 3) or less sites are placed at the end of the list, as always, which should cancel out any misconception by people browsing the directory, as they will only see rings with enough sites to be worth visiting before they get to the smaller ones.
(Although in a small category logically rings are all on one/two page)
I found at least one exception to your scope : http://dir.webring.com/rw?d=Entertainment___Arts/Art
At this adress you will find a ring with one site just bellow the featured ones.
And I did not browse more than two directories.

Did you miss the footnote in my last post?
Re: Post 4765 - (Although in a small category logically rings are all on one/two page)
It is rare that small cats will function the same, as far as ive seen small cats are always listed in a different fashion, hence the reason you see what you saw. Try browsing some of the bigger cats.
The search all rings feature in ring hubs appear to be taking both size of rings and uniqueness into consideration.
However for those managers prepared to remove a few multiple members from their rings I would say it is well worth going for green. The ring goes sraight to the top of the directory just below any paid to feature rings, so in a way it is like free ring featuring.
